Graduation from high school or college is a milestone you should be proud of. You have worked hard for years, and by the end of your scholastic journey, you’re ready to take the world by storm. You possess all the tools you need to be a successful, high-functioning adult: You’re well-versed in the Pythagorean theorem. You can identify the components of the plant cell. You can identify conjunctions and independent clauses – in Italian, nonetheless. The world is a big, complex place and you’re psyched that your years of education have completely prepared you to kill it in the real world. Until you realize they really haven’t.
